»Custom-designed mechatronic systems
for sustainable technologies«
Heliokon provides breakthrough products and services to ensure the clean, stable and secure supply of energy and natural resources in the future.
Our original domain is the development, production and marketing of innovative solutions for solar thermal power plants. Based on this, we are applying our cutting-edge technology in adjacent domains including solar chemistry, solar fuels, solar process heat, thermal energy storage, facilities engineering management, water supply management and bioeconomy.
We pursue an integrated product development approach. Hence, we can offer control software, network technology and mechatronic hardware from a single source. Each component of our smart products is perfectly geared to each other ensuring quick installation and efficient operation. This results in higher performance and lower costs.
Together with our partners from research and industry we are well prepared for the ambitious projects of our clients. Thanks to our development site in Germany and our broad production network in Germany and overseas, we can guarantee highest quality standards. Our skilled team has more than 25 years of experience in the energy sector with a focus on solar thermal power plants.
Heliokon was co-founded by Patrick Hilger and Prof. Dr. Bernhard Hoffschmidt in April 2016 in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. Heliokon is a spin-off company from the Institute of Solar Research of the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
